Room 4 was excited about starting their week with a trip into Wellington to see the Vectra Orchestra at the Michael Fowler Centre. Even more exciting was that we would get to be buddied with people from Room 7! It was Paige's first day in Room 4 and she had the special opportunity to go on this trip. For some of us it was our first time on a bus. We braved the cold and wet weather to learn about the different parts of an orchestra and listen to the Sacred Heart Ukulele group. They were great. Some year 5's from Muritai also joined in with their ukulele's on one of their songs. We also watched dancers from Footnote. At the end we got to be conductors and we copied what the conductor did for a whole song. He was very funny. We really enjoyed our first class trip.

Hi room 4
I really enjoyed joining you on your class trip to the Vectra Orchestra. I thought you were all so well behaved and you looked like you had a lot of fun! Which were your favourite instruments?
Rachel (Henry and Jacks mum)
Jack's favourite instrument was big drum. Henry's favourite instrument was the violin. Kahu's favourite instrument was the piano. Alice's instrument was the violin. Paige's favourite instrument was the trumpet.
